December 09 - 13: This week in NFTs, recapped in one letter

Right Click, Recap is a weekly newsletter that helps you stay in the loop of the ever-changing NFT market and its community.️

Gm,

It’s been another wild week on the timeline. Between trying to wrap our tiny brains around quantum computing and browsing Mangione merch and memecoins, our heads are spinning.

Pudgy Penguins skyrocketed ahead of the Pengu token launch, and a single pudgy NFT is now worth more than a Bitcoin. Yep, you heard that right.

Our friends at HUG were acquired by .ART, meaning even more supports and opportunities for artists are coming soon 👀

Meanwhile the Financial Times (dinosaurs of trad-fi) have been caught writing about memecoins, and this week issued a tongue-in-cheeck apology for their negative coverage of Bitcoin.

Finally, Milady launched CULT coin and Museum of Crypto Art launched a PFP project called Art DeCC0s.

Good hustle, team!

The Financial Times trying to stay relevant:

Google announced its Willow quantum computing chip, sparking fears about Bitcoin encryption. Jeffrey Scholz reassured us: it’s not as scary as it sounds.

This week we launched the first 1155 NFT collection through our Rarible launchpad. Fordenand’s “THE HELLISH SWING” is a fun (and accurate🫠) depiction of the “fiery playground” of crypto trading.

The collection will grow over time, so be sure to mint this genesis piece. And if you're interested in creating your own 1155’s, let us know!
