July 29 - August 2: This week in NFTs, recapped in one letter
Right Click, Recap is a weekly newsletter that helps you stay in the loop of the ever-changing NFT market and its community.️
Gm,
August is on! It's an election year in the US, and for the first time in history, our American friends are faced with loudly pro-crypto strong candidates.
Jokes and politics aside, the crypto and web3 conversation has never been so relevant—we can't help but feel the bullish vibes!
Even California DMV put 42 million car titles on Avalanche blockchain, in an effort to fight fraud—a big win for web3.
Also, Tether (USDT) reported a record-breaking $5.2B profit in the first half of 2024. And while the NFT scene seems to be on standby lately, word on the street is that the period of stagnation could be about to change.
Just so you know, Rarible has a ton of news to share soon 👀
Before the weekend kicks in and you go touch some grass, check out Amber Vittoria's art minting on Rarible.com today at 0.007 ETH (and on Base; you’re welcome!)
Doodles launched DoodlesTV Pass for direct-to-community engagement and teamed up with iced tea giants AriZona.
Trump released $500 Bitcoin sneakers—which are already sold out.
Memeland announced a new NFT utility on the Stakeland platform and is deprecating its legacy "NFT staking".
Two artists are suing the SEC over NFTs being classified as securities. Good luck, champs!

Always a sure shot! (nah, just kidding babe)
Open The Floodgates by Joe Pease traded hands this week for 34.055 ETH ($113,025.48). Cozome de’ Medici is the proud new holder and sees Pease as an artist “that makes all rethink what is possible with a digital canvas”. We can't argue with that!
The good old days might be just around the corner
